Memorial Day Weekend 2008!...

A LOT of stuff is happening in Orlando this coming weekend.   The Orlando Carnival  is in town.   A Caribbean “Mardi Gras” festival that has rides for kids, beauty pageant.  Numerous foods and souvenirs are available with steel band and calypso music in the background.  A GREAT event for the whole family. Who runs Orlando?...

Orlando is run by a mayor and 6 district commissioners.  Each are elected for 4 year terms.  Mayor Buddy Dyer is the 32nd Mayor of Orlando.  He was elected in 2003 in a special election and in 2004 re-elected for a full 4 year term.  Under his leadership the government Encouraged more than $3 billion in developement in the downtown area. Flying to Orlando...

Since air travel is fast and safe there are many options to fly to Orlando.  There are over 40 different airlines that can get you to that sunny destination.  It’s also not as expensive as one might think.  For example a single person can fly from New York to Orlando non stop for a bit over $200 round trip right now.  With the option of driving becoming less palatable because of fuel costs this may be an option. ...

Welcome to Orlando...

Orlando has a RICH history as the county seat in Orange County, Florida.   Growing from a small 4 square mile town into the 100 square mile city it is today. A destination for many a vacationing family Orlando is synonymous with vacations.  I hope that I can be an inside guide book to the ins and outs of visiting or moving to Orlando.  Welcome!
